Is Smorgasburg open every weekend, even if it's a holiday?

What should I bring?
Fully compostable water bottles are available for purchase at our market.
Other recommended items include sunscreen when it's sunny, an umbrella if there's rain in the forecast, a picnic blanket, cash, and some friends.
What if there's a forecast for rain?
The market is open rain or shine. The forecast changes all the time and vendors are encouraged to come every weekend, regardless of forecast. In the event of an all-day, total downpour, don't expect all of the vendors to be set up, as some may opt not to come.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are not allowed on Saturday in East River State Park, due to New York State Park rules. Only ADA companion animals will be permitted. Pets are welcome at the Sunday market in Prospect Park.
What's the best way to get to the markets?
We strongly encourage everyone to take public transportation to get to Smorgasburg.
If you must drive to the Saturday market in Williamsburg, we recommend the garage on N. 5th (between Kent and the East River) or N. 5th (between Kent Ave. and Wythe Ave.). Please do not try to drive directly to the market or down N. 7th Street.
Is the market cash-only?
Vendors accept cash and some accept debit or credit cards. There are ATMs on site at all of our locations; the transaction fee is $2.50.
Is there alcohol served at Smorgasburg?
Yes. Smorgasburg has a bar with beer, wine, and cocktails on Saturdays and Sundays. You must be 21+ with a valid state ID or passport to purchase and consume alcohol. The beer gardens/licensed areas are family-friendly, which means children are allowed with parents.
Are there options for special diets?
Yes. Many vendors offer items that are gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, kosher, and more. Some vendors specialize in these options, and many include alternatives on their regular menus. We suggest asking individual vendors to see if they have anything that suits your dietary needs.
